Kongo Grotto. He entered Shozui-ji Temple of the Daitokuji School of the Rinzai Sect in Katada, Shiga Prefecture, and received ordination. He was succeeded by Master Takeda eisen of Kenninji Temple. He served as abbot of Shozui-ji Temple, abbot of Daisen-in, the Daitokuji temple’s pagoda, and chief priest of Daitokuji Temple. In April 1954, he became the 445th abbot of Kenninji Temple and the 8th headmaster of the Kenninji School. For the next 35 years, he continued to lead the school. He passed away in 1989.
