Donge-Ken. He studied under Imakita Kosen at Engaku-Ji monastery. Later, he attended the Zen masters Takeda Bunkoku at Chotoku-ji, Yuri Tekisui and Takagi Ryoen at Tenryu-Ji Monastery, Toyama Zengai at Zuiryu-ji Monastery, Gifu, and Aozora Kando at Kencho-Ji Monastery. He temporarily resided at Ryogi-ji in Ashigara, but at 35, he entered the Ken’nin Monastery and succeeded the Dharma of Takeda Mokurai. After serving at Tengen-In in Kenchoji Temple, he was appointed the head abbot and master of the Kencho-ji in 1938. He passed away at the age of 91.
