Honorific name: Daien-Genchi Zenji. Disciple of Daicho Kaiun in Taizo-ji. He practiced Zen in Ryunen-ji, Koken-ji Seiryo-ji. He became the Zen mater of Saijo-ji in Kaanagawa in 1901. He was invited to be the 4th chief abbot of Soji-ji in Noto, Ishikawa in 1905. Soji-ji was destroyed by fire in 1898. He decided to move from Noto to Tsurumi in Yokohama. Soji-ji was constructed in 1911.
