The Myoshin-ji branch. The 554th chief abbot of Myoshin-ji. Zen master of Zuisen-ji in Inuyama and Tentaku monastery in Zuiryo-ji, Gifu.

Pen name: Hisou-ken, Tekisui-ken. Dharma transmission from Settan Shohaku in Shinpuku-ji in Ngara, Gifu. He also practiced Zen under Kyuho in Joko-ji and Tetsugyu Soin. He was invited to be the abbot of Zuisen-ji in 1879 and established the monastery. The he moved to Tentaku monastery in Zuiryo-ji by the Keichu Bundo’s requet. He became ill and cured at Ryosen-an, the sub-temple of Myoshin-ji.
