Honorific name: Entumyokaku Zenji. Pen name: Kongo-shitsu, Kansho-ken, Entsu-shitsu. Dharma transmission from Taiju Zen’nyo who rwas the Dharma heir of Hakuin Ekaku. He stayed Enpuku-ji in Kyoto and made an effort to restore in 1798. he became the 550th abbot of Myoshin-ji in 1804. His calligraphies concerning to about ‘water’ were believed to have miraculous efficacy for the fire prevention. So a lot of people asked him one after another.
